Pastor Paula continues her sermon series on The Lord's Prayer with a discussion about the phrase "thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." A lot of people often say "It must be God's will" when something horrible happens, but Pastor Paula firmly believes that God's will for us in only life, light, and goodness. God in no way wills anything bad and God hates death. As a result, we are being part of God's will for the world when we seek to be agents of life and love in a world in need of healing. Pastor Paula sees herself as a "PR agent" for God, sharing God's light, instead of blaming everything awful on God's will and this episode reflects that commitment.
Opening; Scriptures-2:07; Message-5:56; Song "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" 18:12; Community Connection-21:10; Closing-25:56
Scripture Texts-Genesis 1:26-31; Revelation 21:1-4, 22:1-5 New Revised Standard Version;
Many Thanks to Pastor Dan McKnight, the opening announcer, Elizabeth Kieschnick who read the Scriptures, Camy Wenberg who sings "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" and Ruth Skinner, who sings the closing song, "You Shall Go Out with Joy."
"Great is Thy Faithfulness" by Thomas O. Chisholm is in the public domain.
