Pastor Paula continues her series on the Shepherd Psalm--Psalm 23. Each week she will take a portion of the Psalm and connect it with our lives, as she explores how a Psalm about something like sheep herding, which few of us know much about, has become one of the most beloved texts in all of Scripture. This week, she focuses on what it means to be lead by still waters and let God restore our souls. In the chaos of life, we sometimes need to step out of the rush that surrounds us and come to the water of life to be refreshed. As we experience the calmness that comes from this time away, drinking in the Word of God, our spirits and souls can be restored.
"He leads be beside still waters, he restores my soul." Psalm 23:2b
Opening; Scriptures-1:44; Message-6:04; Song "For Those Tears I Died" 20:21; Community Connection-23:35; Closing-26:37
Scripture Texts- Isaiah 55:1-3a New Revised Standard Version; Rev. 7:9-17 New Living Translation; John 4:6-14 New Revised Standard Version
Many Thanks to Pastor Dan McKnight, the opening announcer, Kim Olstad who read the Scriptures, and Ruth Skinner who sang "For Those Tears I Died" and the closing song, "You Shall Go Out with Joy."
