Pastor Paula continues her series on the Shepherd Psalm--Psalm 23. Each week she will take a portion of the Psalm and connect it with our lives, as she explores how a Psalm about something like sheep herding, which few of us know much about, has become one of the most beloved texts in all of Scripture. This week, she focuses on the the passage that says "my cup overflows." In a world where people are often focused on scarcity, and what they don't have, and cling to what they have, this passage reminds us to see a God who fills our cup to overflowing, and provides for us abundantly. It doesn't mean we have a perfect life, but rather that we see God blessing us in so many ways and then seeking to be blessed to be a blessing to others.
"My cup overflows." Psalm 23:5b
Opening; Scriptures-1:59; Message-3:38; Song "You Are My All in All" 16:06; Community Connection-18:01; Closing-22:51
Scripture Texts- Ephesians 3:20-21-The Living Bible; Luke 6:38-New Revised Standard Version; 2 Cor. 9:6-8-New Revised Standard Version
Many Thanks to Pastor Dan McKnight, the opening announcer, Aiden Dickson who read the Scriptures, Camy Wenberg who sang My All in All and Ruth Skinner who sings the closing song.
