Pastor Paula continues her series on the Shepherd Psalm--Psalm 23. Each week she takes a portion of the Psalm and connect sit with our lives, as she explores how a Psalm about something like sheep herding, which few of us know much about, has become one of the most beloved texts in all of Scripture. This week she looks at the words "Even though I go through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil" and talks about how we can deal with the inevitability of death in our lives--both our own death and the deaths of those we love. She explores healthy ways to move through the valley when a loved one dies, grieving but not remaining in the shadows for the rest of our life. She also discusses how accepting the fact that we will all die--someday--frees us to live life without fear. Death casts a long shadow, but we walk in the light of God.
