"Zero Hour" tells the story of a seemingly innocent children's game called "Invasion." The children, led by a girl named Mink, are excitedly preparing for the arrival of imaginary alien friends at "zero hour." The adults dismiss the game as harmless play. However, as the story progresses, it becomes clear that the game is part of a real invasion plan by extraterrestrial beings, using the children to facilitate their conquest of Earth.
The episode was based on Ray Bradbury's short story "Zero Hour" from his collection "The Illustrated Man."
