Blaise Pascal (French mathematician and philosopher) once said: "All people seek happiness. This is without exception. Whatever different means they employ, they all tend to this end. The cause of some going to war, and of others avoiding it, is the same desire in both, attended with different views. The will never takes the least step but to this object. This is the motive of every action of every man, even of those who hang themselves."
The intriguing part is that though we are determined to seek happiness or joy we as a society seldom are happy. In fact, recent studies have shown that only 3 out of 10 Americans are happy/joyful. Why is that? More importantly how do we attain happiness/joy, the emotion that seems so elusive in our culture?
If you are interested in hearing more or you want a place to worship Jesus this weekend please come this Sunday, 10AM @ Newton D Baker School, 3690 W 159th St Cleveland.
