Assistant Professor of Anthropology in the Center for the Advanced Study of Human Pathology Carson Murray discusses her research excursions into the jungles of Tanzania, where she observed mother-offspring relationships among chimps in the wild. What she has found is shedding new light on the impact of maternal mood and behavior on gender roles, socialization skills and success in adulthood.
