Dr. Jason Brinkley is a Biostatistician and Health Researcher out of Raleigh, NC. He maintains an Adjunct Professor of Public Health and a researcher with the NC Agromedicine Institute at East Carolina University. Dr. Brinkley has worked with a variety of individuals in the medicine, public health, business, education, and the natural and social sciences. He currently serves as NC Chapter Representative for the American Statistical Association and is on the Executive Committee for the Southeast SAS Users Group. He balances research time between theoretical ways to assess the impact of medical interventions on public health and the best practices for using statistical software. A member of the American Statistical Association, the American Public Health Association, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science; he recently served on the Customer Advisory Board of the JMP Division of SAS Institute.
Dr. Brinkley has authored or co-authored articles in a wide range of journals including Biometrics, Statistics in Medicine, Annals of Surgical Oncology, Journal of Cancer Therapy, Partner Abuse, Journal of the American College of Surgeons, Neuropsychiatric Genetics, Obesity Surgery, The Family Journal, The Journal of Social Media in Society, The Journal of Autism Developmental Disorders, Hospital Pediatrics, Journal of Public Health Management & Practice, and Preventive Medicine. He has expertise in a wide range of statistical and biostatistical methods (e.g. Longitudinal and Survival Regression Methods, Predictive Modeling, Causal Inference, Cluster Analysis) along with basic psychometric methods (Factor Analysis, Reliability, Rasch Models); he specializes in customized data visualizations, maps and dashboarding.
