If you’re a product designer that’s been thinking about striking out on your own in 2024, then Jonathan Patterson is a name that you need to know. As a freelance senior product design generalist, he knows all about rolling with the changes in the industry, and about what it takes to stay competitive. Jonathan and I spoke not too long after his presentation at AIGA Detroit’s IXD2 event, and he talked about the various projects he’s worked on in the fields of healthcare, education, and AI. He also shared his personal journey growing up with a passion for drawing, transitioning from traditional print design to digital products, and explained why he made the switch to full-time freelancing (and what he’s learned along the way). Hopefully Jonathan’s story and his work inspires you to carve out your own path for your career! ========== For extended show notes, including a full transcript of this episode, visit https://revisionpath.com. ========== DONATE: For 10 years, Revision Path has been dedicated to showcasing Black designers and creatives from all over the world.
