In his sermon, “Supernaturally Connected to the Prayers of Jesus,” Pastor Carl highlights the critical need to cherish and maintain our relationship with God. Drawing from John 17, he compares our sometimes casual approach to faith with people on “Antiques Roadshow” who fail to recognize the value of their treasures. Pastor Carl explains, “We have this relationship with God that we sometimes take for granted. And not only do we not recognize how valuable it is, but we also don’t protect it like it is valuable.”

Focusing on John 17:20-22, where Jesus prays for future believers to be unified as He is with the Father, Pastor Carl stresses the importance of this unity. Jesus’ prayer, “I’m not asking on behalf of these alone, but also for those who believe in Me through their word,” underscores the collective nature of faith, calling for deep spiritual connection among believers and with God.

Pastor Carl warns against the enemy’s attempts to sever this connection and emphasizes that Jesus’ intercession is our direct link to God. He refutes the need for intermediaries, asserting, “I don’t need to pray for somebody to pray for Jesus, to pray for me… I just go straight to Jesus.”

In the end, Pastor Carl urges us to be proactive in our faith, valuing our relationship with God and sharing it openly. “We are supernatural agents of God’s grace to the world,” he says, encouraging us to live out their faith dynamically, reflecting God’s love and unity in our lives and communities.
