Later we delve into the sound recordings of Roden/McDowall favorites brilliant composer/arranger and pianist Mary Lou Williams, rare tracks from The Quintet Live At Massey Hall, getting spiritual with John Coltrane, local Rhythm'a'ning sponsor and Latin Jazz vocalist Anna Lyman and many more treats including Tom's most favorite all time recording from Buck Clayton! Join in for the fun and hang with us for a lot of pleasant, informative jazzy chat featuring 83 year old octagenarian and avid jazz record collector/expert Tom Roden. Rhythm'a'ning radio host Kerilie McDowall has been producing a jazz radio show for 16 years and is a composition/jazz guitar music graduate enamoured with improvised music, jazz and creative music. McDowall and Roden, radio hosts at CHLY 101.7 FM share their passion for music week after week at www.chly.ca on the west coast of British Columbia on Vancouver Island in Nanaimo, BC, Canada.
