About the elephant in the room.... In the words of 2 Samuel 19:10, "Why do you say nothing about bringing back the king?" It was the question on the minds of David's once-and-future subjects. And Jim will put the question to us, about a King called the "Son of David." We've been considering David, the man. Now we'll look at David, the symbol - the "type" of Christ. Like Jesus, he was a king in exile, and his people should have been preparing for his return.
