For the 12th year in a row there has been an increase in the number of sexual assault survivors who've reported the crime to police.
The latest data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics show there were more 35-thousand victims of sexual assault last year nationwide, an increase of 11 per cent on 2022. About 85 per cent of those victims were women.
