U-S Republican J-D Vance and Democrat Tim Walz have faced off in the only Vice Presidential debate of the US election.

The candidates faced questions on gun violence, the situation in the Middle East, and the state of the U-S economy, moderated by the CBS network in New York.

This may be the final debate of the campaign, with the teams of the presidential candidates unable to agree on another meeting before the 5 November election.
