Ryan Berkun is the founder and CEO of Teller Finance, a platform that provides credit risk assessed, decentralized loans. Ryan has been involved in the DeFi space since 2017, and believes that one of the major hurdles holding back the industry is the fact that, in order to extract value from crypto, you have to buy into it.

*

Teller Finance was founded with the goal of solving this problem in order to make crypto more accessible and practical for both individuals and businesses, by allowing users to connect their bank accounts in order to calculate credit risk and offer unsecured loans. In their conversation, Joe and Ryan dig deeper into the problems Teller Finance seeks to solve, the team behind the project, it’s user experience and use cases, and the logistics that go into running a decentralized lending platform. They discuss the benefit of using Teller Finance instead of a traditional bank and the ways in which DeFi can allow businesses to scale more efficiently, as well as the future growth of Teller Finance and the DeFi sector as a whole.
