During the time in between this episode and the last, I spent a lot of time talking to many roofers because of the launch of my yearly coaching program. Thousands of roofers responded, and I spoke to many roofers via email. I also talked with 586 roofers over the phone in the course of two months. I want to share what I learned from those conversations. In this episode, I’ll be talking about the differences between the roofing business owners who are running their business, and the roofing business owners who feel like their business is running them.

Some highlights of today’s episode include:

  • Why you need a solid system in place
  • The importance of knowing how to delegate
  • The importance of knowing how to hire and hiring the right people
  • The differences that good communication and training can make
  • Why you should have a process in place to respond to leads as quickly as possible
  • Prioritizing problem-solving and engaging customers over other aspects of the business
  • How the same processes that work on the business end can translate to your marketing plan
