newtonThe group of fantasy QBs is as deep as its ever been. There a few tiers within the group that you should be aware of. First, A. Rodgers and A. Luck are the only two QBs you should be considering with an early round draft pick. Thats it, that’s the list. If you are like me, and prefer to wait on drafting your QB, the next group is the group you want to pick from. Newton, Wilson, Roethlisberger, P. Manning, D. Brees and T. Romo. if any of these guys fall in your draft be prepared to grab him. There is a tier of another 6-8 guys that could serve you just fine if you prefer to wait even longer at QB.

Rankings

<>

1. Rodgers – The Green Bay Packers are loaded on offense and are expected to help crown fantasy champions around the world in 2015. Another 35+ TD/4500+ yard season for Rodgers is almost a certainty. If you are going to use a high draft pick on a QB, this is your guy.

2. Luck – I am not expecting the same production in 2015 as 2014, but Luck is still the only QB in the discussion at the top with Rodgers. I expect a similar 35+ TD/4500+ yard season out of Luck, but his double digit INTs keeps him off the my top line.

<<2nd TIER>>

3. Newton – An improving WR group in Carolina and a healthy Newton has me expecting a bounce back year in 2015. A season of 20+ TD/3300+ yards passing and 7+ TD/600+ yards rushing is well within his ceiling. With no clear cut #3 QB, take a chance on his extreme upside.

4. Wilson – Wilson has not had an offensive weapon the likes of J. Graham in his short and productive career. Graham added to an improving WR group should allow for more production in the passing game. A season with 25+ TD/3800+ yards passing coupled with a 5+ TD/500+ yards rushing makes Wilson an elite fantasy QB option.

5. Roethlisberger – Coming off his best season statistically, Big Ben is setup to improve on them in 2015. The league’s top WR A. Brown, an emerging star at WR, M. Bryant and the best receiving RB in the league will be the benefactors of a 30+ TD/4500+ yard season.

6. Manning – An increased focus on the rushing game in Denver will keep Manning’s production out of the Top 5 QBs in 2015. I still expect 30+ TD/4000+ yards, which makes him a quality fantasy option at QB, but not elite. Do not reach for Manning.

7. Brees – Another QB you should not reach for is Brees. Again, an increased focus on the ground game in New Orleans and major turnover with his offensive weapons will limit his upside this season. Like Manning, I expect 30+ TD/4000 yards in 2015.

8. Romo – Also in the 30+ TD/4000 yard club is Romo. The departure of D. Murray should create more opportunity in the passing game this season. With Dez is signed and Romo’s back is fully healthy, he primed to be a Top 10 fantasy QB.

9. Ryan – A healthy J. Jones is the key for Top 10 QB production out of him in 2015. Ryan will be working within a new offense this season in Atlanta. Im looking for production of 25+ TD/4000 yards.

10. Brady – With a 4 game suspension still looming, Brady has fallen down draft boards. There are weapons in place for elite QB production from Brady, but until something changes with his suspension, losing 4 games is too costly to rank him higher. Even in 12 games you can expect 25+ TD/3500+ yards out of him in 2015.

<<3rd TIER>>

11. Manning – The emergence of O. Beckham as a top receiving threat combined with another year in a pass friendly offense, has moved Eli into fantasy relevance at QB for 2015. Manning’s high INT rate limits his upside, but I expect 30+ TD/4000+ yards of production.

12. Tannehill – The additions of D. Parker, K. Stills and J. Cameron in the passing game have set the stage for a breakout season for Tannehill in 2015. I’m expecting a 25+ TD/4000+ yards in the passing game as well as a sneaky 2 TD/250+ yards in rushing this season.

Honorable Mention:

  1. Rivers – 25+ TD/4000+ Yards
  2. Flacco – 25+ TD/4000+ Yards
  3. Stafford – 25+ TD/4000+ Yards
  4. Palmer – 25+ TD/3800+ Yards
  5. S. Bradford – 20+ TD/4500+ Yards
