Royal news has been dominated by the decision of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to step back from their roles as senior royals. They made their announcement on Wednesday afternoon only for Buckingham Palace to reveal, soon afterwards, that the statement had been a surprise.
Harry and Meghan want to continue with some royal duties while working towards financial independence. But is that possible and what does it mean for the future of the Royal Family?
