Cicadas Song #RTTBROS #nightlight "Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord." - Psalm 150:6 In the sweltering heat of a South Carolina this summer, an unexpected symphony arose. The air vibrated with a pulsating rhythm so intense that concerned citizens dialed the local police, convinced that some hidden alarm was sounding throughout their neighborhood. But as officers arrived on the scene, they discovered the source of this clamorous chorus was not a manmade device, but rather God's own creation - cicadas. These small insects, emerging from their long slumber beneath the earth, filled the air with their distinctive song. Their voices, produced by rapidly vibrating membranes on their abdomens, created a crescendo so powerful it could be heard for miles. What some initially perceived as a nuisance soon became the defining soundtrack of the season, a constant reminder of the teeming life that surrounds us. Just as cicadas emerge from the ground after years of waiting, we too have moments when we feel compelled to break forth in song, to praise our Creator for the beauty and wonder of the world around us. Yet sometimes we remain silent, afraid to lift our voices in worship, just as the cicadas might hesitate to sing if no other cicadas joined in. But imagine a world without the cicadas' song, without the chorus of creation praising God. Would it not feel empty and incomplete? In the same way, our own praise adds to the symphony of worship that rises to God's ears. So sing your song of praise, even if you feel alone. Join in the chorus of creation, and let your voice ring out in gratitude and love for the One who made us all. Prayer: Dear God, thank you for the beauty and wonder of creation. Help us to lift our voices in praise, to add our song to the chorus of creation. Amen. https://linktr.ee/rttbros Be sure to Like, Share, Follow and subscribe it helps get the word out. https://linktr.ee/rttbros
