Water safety isn't as exciting as crime prevention, but comes up more often. Drownings are a tragedy that strike more families each year than violence, and are easier to prevent with a little training.
Jewel Young hosts the Young Dads podcast, but before that he was a lifeguard and water safety instructor for many years. He talks to us today about the things parents can do at the pool, on the river, by the ocean, and anywhere else water and kids interact.
