மெய்கண்டார் இயற்றிய 'சிவஞான போதம்' சைவ சாத்திர நூல்களில் ஒன்றாகும். இந்நூலுக்கு திருநெல்வேலி மாவட்டம் விக்கிரமசிங்கபுரத்தைச் சார்ந்த சிவஞான முனிவர் 'சிவஞான மாபாடியம்' என்ற பேருரையை எழுதினார். பண்டித நடையில் அமைந்த பேருரையை அனைவருக்கும் புரியும் விதமாக பாளையங்கோட்டையைச் சேர்ந்த சி.சு.மணி விளக்கியுள்ளார். இயன்ற இடங்களில் உரை சந்தி பிரித்துக் காட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது.கடுமையான இலக்கணப் பகுதிகள் மென்மையாக விளக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. சிவஞான முனிவர் பயன்படுத்திய வட சொற்களுக்கு ஏற்ற இடங்களில் தமிழ்ச் சொற்களும் தரப்பட்டுள்ளன.
