Welcome back to Saucy but Sweet with Ali McPherson. This week is a little controversial, or maybe A LOT controversial. We’re going to be talking about cultural appropriation, who is allowed to do it, and who isn’t. Is it possible to admire a culture without appropriating or is admiration the root of cultural appropriation? I’ll tell you this now, I do not have all the answers, so to help push this discussion further I will be talking about this with Yemi Osibogun an event producer who is not afraid to vocalize his opinion on all things music and culture especially pertaining to African and Black Americans. Follow Yemi on IG @nappyzeus.
