The Australian government has set itself the goal of halving emissions of climate-damaging exhaust gases by 2030 and at the same time converting 80 percent of our energy generation to renewable sources. This is an ambitious goal, but we have already achieved almost half of it, especially with regard to the shift to renewable energy. South Australia is leading the rest of the nation on this path and already gets 75 percent of its energy from wind and solar. The introduction of electrically powered cars plays a major role in reducing climate-damaging exhaust gases. However, management consultant Chris Petzold still sees numerous hurdles to the hoped-for victory of electric mobility and explains why car buyers are reluctant to opt for the new, battery-dependent drive technology. - Die australische Regierung hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, bis zum Jahre 2030, den Ausstoß von klimaschädlichen Abgasen zu halbieren und gleichzeitig 80 Prozent unserer Energieerzeugung auf erneuerbare Quellen umzustellen. Ein ambitioniertes Ziel, dass wir aber gerade im Hinblick auf die Hinwendung zu erneuerbarer Energie , schon fast zur Hälfte erreicht haben. Süd Australien geht auf diesem Weg dem Rest der Nation voran und bezieht bereits 75 Prozent seiner Energie aus Wind und Sonne. Bei der Reduzierung von klimaschädlichen Abgasen spielt die Einführung elektrisch angetriebener Autos eine große Rolle. Unternehmensberater Chris Petzold sieht aber noch einige Hürden für den erhofften Siegeszug der Elektromobilität und erklärt, warum noch viele Autokäufer zögern, sich für die neue, batterieabhängige Antriebstechnologie zu entscheiden.
