From July 1st this year, Australia's major clothing store owners will have to pay an additional 4 cents tax on every new garment sold in Australia. Australia is considered to be the world's largest consumer of ready-made garments on a per capita basis. Due to this, the Australian government has taken this step in order to reduce the amount of clothes thrown away by Australians.
