Recurring Revenue Saves Your Ass

In the end, there are really only two types of revenue. Recurring and transactional. By far, the most important is recurring. Here’s why:

If you can’t predict your revenue, you can’t predict your future.

RR helps you:

  1. You sleep better at night
  2. You can make decisions about the future easier
  3. It makes your client relationships more “sticky”
  4. It increases your company value – A LOT

Examples of Recurring Revenue

  1. Monthly membership
  2. Service/maintenance agreements
  3. Unique technology

Example of Recurring Revenue calculator

  1. $25 per month x 100 accounts per month over 3 years = $90,000 per month or $1,080,000 year
  2. $99 per month x 100 accounts per month over 3 years = $346,000 per mo or $4,152,000 year
  3. $249 per month x 100 accounts per month over 3 years = $896k per mo or $10,752,000 year.

If you apply a 6x multiple on $10,752,000 = $64,512,000 in valuation – just on your RR!
