Dakin Campbell – Chief Finance Correspondent of Business Insider’s and Author of Going Public: How Silicon Valley Rebels Loosened Wall Street’s Grip on the IPO and Sparked a Revolution

Dakin Campbell is Business Insider’s chief finance correspondent, writing features and conducting investigations into Wall Street’s largest and most powerful firms. He has written extensively about Goldman Sachs and the challenges its CEO has faced in his first few years on the job. Campbell joined Insider in April 2018 from Bloomberg News, where he spent a decade writing for its wire service and magazines. His writing has led to the resignation of the nation’s busiest bankruptcy judge, and spurred a group of powerful Senators to scrutinize the bankruptcy of a private prison healthcare company. Before joining the investigations team, he covered Wall Street for 15 years. Goldman Sachs’ CEO began leasing a plane just days after Dakin uncovered the executive’s extensive personal use of the corporate jet. Dakin joined Insider in April 2018 from Bloomberg News, where he spent a decade writing for its wire service and magazines. He holds a BS from Cornell University, an MS in journalism from Columbia University, and a CFA charter. His first book, Going Public, was published in July 2022.
