In this engaging episode of the "School To Embassy Project," we are joined by Doug White, a seasoned law enforcement professional with 25 years of experience in one of the nation's largest agencies, Hillsborough County in Tampa, Florida. As a lead bomb-squad technician and SWAT team member, Doug has faced high-stress situations with remarkable composure and skill.

We cover a lot of ground in this first half of our conversation. As this is one of my earliest podcasts, I took a minute to get to the point—I'm still learning. Doug and I share a few personal stories, some funny, and others on serious topics from his law enforcement career. Doug recounts his experience during the Columbine tragedy, the challenges faced during the 'war on law enforcement' by the media, and a memorable incident involving an 'ice-cream truck man' threatening a citizen while Doug’s father was on a ride-along with a fellow officer.

Join us for these great conversations as we continually return to the critical topic of securing our schools. Stay tuned for Part 2, where we really 'hit our stride.' It will be released next Friday at noon.
