Matthew Wyon, Professor in Dance Science at the University of Wolverhampton, discusses the physiological demands of dance. This episode considers the gap in physiological requirements between typical dance classes or rehearsals, and performances, as well as how supplementary training may be a way to aid this. Matt also explores the relationship of physiological fitness in dancers to rate of injury, and performance enhancement.
