In the wake of the violent and disturbing events that took place in Charlottesville, Virginia between groups of protestors, with some bearing neo-Nazi flags and logos and other white supremacist slogans, Donald Trump stunned just about everyone with his response and comments to the American Public and the world. First, he didn’t outright condemn the white supremacists and neo-Nazis, in a second statement he did condemn them, and then thirdly, he turned a seemingly routine press conference in to rebuke of his second statement and launching an off-the-cuff question-and-answer session with journalists that fanned the flame of white supremacy. How far can Donald Trump push the boundaries of what is reasonable for the US Presidency before something breaks? Steve and Ben examine Trump’s latest antics and behaviour, and how this latest incident, although claimed as a turning point, has still not managed to turn Trump’s supporters and enablers against him.
