What started out as an investigation in to Russian meddling in the 2016 US Presidential election has now become a wider probe in to Trump’s subsequent actions to apparently obstruct the investigation from proceeding. Would Robert Mueller have been hired as special counsel for this investigation if Trump had kept his mouth shut and stepped back from all the noise being generated from this investigation?
