Hey there, Mamas. Have you ever felt unseen? Unnoticed? Wondered if anyone is truly listening? If you've pondered these questions, you are not alone. Welcome to another heart-to-heart episode of Messy Mama Prayers, where we dive into life's ups and downs with faith, laughter, and a little mess.

In this episode, we will talk to you about how we can use the names of God and His characteristics to find solace during our prayer times. These names serve as a powerful reminder that even when we feel invisible, there's a God who sees us, hears us, and cares about every moment of our lives.

Let's start with a name you may not have heard often but holds profound meaning—El Roi, which means "You are the God who sees me." This name is found in the story of Hagar, a fellow mama from the pages of the Bible, and her life was, well, let's say, quite messy.

But here's where the beauty unfolds: Jesus comes to her. And when we talk about the "Angel of the Lord," it's more than an angel; it's believed to be Jesus pre-incarnate. Imagine, Jesus meets a lowly slave girl out in the desert. She's in despair, and He listens as she pours her heart out to Him.

Just like Hagar, Jesus sees you, dear Mama. He hears you. He cares about every single detail of your life. Your worries, your joys, your messy moments—he's right there with

Deb, Lindsay, and Faith. They'll share some of the characteristics and names of God they like to focus on during their prayers. You'll be surprised how much comfort and strength you can find in these simple yet profound reminders of God's presence.

We’ll also share how you can use Psalm 139 in your prayer time. This psalm beautifully illustrates how God knows you inside and out, even before you speak your thoughts. He was there when you were being formed in your mother's womb. He knows you, Mama. He loves you, and He calls you by name.

So whether you find solace in Psalm 139 or explore other Psalms that speak to your heart, remember this: God is with you, especially during those moments when you wonder if you're being seen or heard. You are cherished, Mamas, and you are not alone in this beautiful, messy, and extraordinary journey of motherhood.
