“Courage is the ability to show up when you think you can't. Courage is the ability to speak your truth, and confront obstacles. Courage puts feet on your prayers, and lets you try new things.” Senior Minister Rev. Karen Lindvig dives into a new series on The Alchemy of Courage, which she describes as taking the lead of weakness and fear, transforming them into the gold of strength. She begins by first pulling apart the concept of Courage into six varieties: physical, emotional, intellectual, social, moral, and spiritual. She reminds us to use our solid Unity tools as we move forward -- that is, meditation, prayer and affirmations, including:
  • Fear has no power over me.
  • I am strong and courageous.
  • I can do all that is mine to do.
Also today, Board member Lymarie Bried-Fuentes reads The Optimists' Creed, by Christian Larson. Our Worship Arts team this time includes first-time guest and fresh college graduate, Sage Suzerris. Check out the full service video here. Please join us in person next Sunday, at 10 a.m. at our Sodo venue, Metropolist. And take advantage of all the ways we can stay connected, including after-service fellowship, Daily Prayer Boosts, and Wednesday evening prayer services. And as always, see our Facebook page or our Instagram, for shareable quotes from our lesson notes, readings, and more. Want to get regular updates? Stay updated with our most recent newsletter here.
