In this episode of Security Heroes, host Lisa Falzone is joined by UMMC's Behavioral Response Team, consisting of Sgt. Shaun Hiley, Officer Garry Lee, Officer Shanice Mays, and Officer Sharkey Ford, Jr.. Sgt. Hiley has decades of experience as a police officer, and spearheaded the program with Officer Lee, whose background includes the Air Force and National Guard in addition to policing. They selected Officers Ford and Mays as well-suited to join the team, and the four of them rotate in shifts to de-escalate potentially violent situations on the UMMC campus.
