Episode 325: “Power Through the Vision in Life and Career."

Greetings, Leaders.

Understanding who we are and why we were born is essential in experiencing the power through the vision. How we see ourselves is directly proportional to what we can envision for our lives and careers.

God has a vision for you and me.

"I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11

God's promise of hope and prosperity is for each of us who trusts Him.

Our first step is understanding who we are in God's eyes. Early in my life and career journey, my vision was obscured by how I saw myself. I could not imagine doing great and mighty things because I did not see myself correctly.

He creates us anew when we trust in Him. We are His workmanship, created for God's works, which He ordained in advance that we should walk in them.

Wherever you are now, embark on a journey of self-discovery, uncovering your true identity, which may be different from the one you currently believe and live in.

"If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."

Jesus - John 8:31-32

What we accomplish in life and career, which is of lasting value, depends upon discovering our identity and walking in the truth of God's view of us and the vision He empowers us to fulfill.

How do we begin?

1. Ask God to show you your true identity in Him.
2. Seek to view yourself in His eyes continually.
3. Rehearse and practice the truth He gives you for your life and career journey.

We see excellent outcomes in the lives of leaders who continually follow God's plans for their lives and careers.

"He did right in the sight of the LORD... He continued to seek God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding through the vision of God; and as long as he sought the LORD, God prospered him. 2 Chronicles 26: 4-5

What is your vision for life and career? God knows.

Who are you, and why were you born? God knows.

"Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you." Jesus - Matthew 7:7 NLT

Identify and consider leaders who are following God's plan for victory.

God wants us to have a vision rooted in our identity in Him.

Vision with identity protects us from drifting in life and helps us make wise choices about what we do and how we invest our time, talents, and abilities, which God provides.

"Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained,

But happy is one who keeps the Law." Proverbs 29:18 NASB

So, God's vision is for you to discover and follow it.

"Then the LORD said" to me, "Write my answer plainly on tablets so that a runner can carry the correct message to others." Habakkuk 2:2 NLT

Invest time alone with God, meditate on His promises, listen to what He says, write it down, rehearse, and practice the truth, and enjoy the process of being, doing, and seeing God's vision fulfilled in your life and career, as well as the overflow of good things in the lives of those you serve and love.
