In part 2 we continue exploring: - The ADHD inducing structure of a school day and how it trains our attention away from long form reflection. -The lack of choicemaking given in education and how this affects our creativity as adults. -The impact of 'test and recite' style education on our capacity to really 'read' and it's deeper affect on a crisis of meaning. -How education shapes 'governable subjects' and employees for managerial roles. -Storytelling as ancient, fundamental and participatory form of education O.G. Rose is the pen name of philosopher and writer duo Daniel and Michelle Garner. Daniel recently authored 'Belonging Again pt.1' as part of a larger project diagnosing the breakdown of belonging and the multi-layered decay of the meta-crisis. His work around philosophical community and regular online gatherings offer a new possibility for education beyond the academy. / @o.g.rose.michelle.and.daniel Educational facilitator and speaker, Dr. Tim Kubik has worked on a variety of initiatives designed to empower teachers and students to engage with their ever-changing world, including The Asia Society International Studies Schools Network, Buck Institute for Education, and now in partnership at Project ARC.
