First, Dom asks about the book, asking Marty to explain what can be found by listeners, with Dr. Makary noting the horrible state of the American healthcare system. Makary tells of children and their health in other countries when compared to the United States, noting a poisoning of the food supply that has garnered a very unhealthy populace. Makary, in the new book, ties together the strength of the pharmaceutical companies, the mishandling of COVID, and our unhealthy children to paint a bleak picture of where we currently stand, noting what needs to change for us to have our health back.
