Continuing our ongoing discussion looking into music as mind control, Lenon Honor joins me tonight to discuss his latest documentary film Beyond Gangster Blackface, which is a look into NWA and the 1980s rap music scene in Los Angeles, as well as the so-called East Coast / West Coast feud, and the psychological and socialogical impact of Gangster Rap on children and families. We'll also discuss how Hip Hop continues to promote physical violence, male criminality, disrespect of women, and negative male/female relationships.
Lenon Honor is a husband, father, writer, musician, film producer, lecturer, and life coach. His website www.lenonhonor.com has provided a wealth of information and inspiration in regards to manhood, fatherhood, marriage, children, family, and personal growth. As a writer Lenon Honor has self-published 5 books. His most recent book “Pregnancy Support” is designed to help men and women to prepare for the challenges of pregnancy. As a counselor Lenon Honor has assisted clients from all over the world by providing clarity and guidance in the areas of marriage, male-female relationships, family, fatherhood, motherhood, children, creativity, and personal growth.
As a film producer Lenon has produced 6 documentaries to date. His most recent documentary “Beyond Gangster Blackface” is a critical analysis of how music lyrics can influence the thoughts, words, and behavior of young impressionable children. As a musician Lenon has produced 5 albums of music and has performed in the U.S. and abroad. He also composed the soundtrack to his documentary “Beyond Gangster Blackface”.
