eTown hosts Nick and Helen Forster welcome singer/songwriter and violin virtuoso Andrew Bird to eTown Hall’s solar-powered stage. Andrew got his start in the popular bands Squirrel Nut Zippers and Bowl of Fire before embarking on what has become a very successful solo career. We’ll hear lots of great music from Andrew and his band, plus we’ll learn more about his time living on secluded family land, and what effects that experience had on his musical development and creative process. Also joining us is Canadian indie folk artist Leif Vollebekk, who joins forces with the eTown house band – the eTones – to perform music from his latest collection of songs, entitled Twin Solitude. Lots of great music this week from our visiting artists, plus we’ll check in with Tom Chappell, co-founder of the Tom’s of Maine brand, to hear about his decades-long approach to responsible and sustainable business practices. Be sure to tune in!
