Welcome back to this, our fifth episode of DTT Disruptors! Today, I am interviewing Alex Keighley, Head of Strategic Accounts at Avid out of Burbank, California.

Alex has 27 years of experience in the media industry and started his career in newspapers in London before moving into digital media in the 90’s. Alex rode the dotcom boom and bust at Reuters and the Associated Press, where he led the EMEA organization during a period of unprecedented change for media owners.

Alex became interested in the rapidly changing digital news workflows and was lucky enough to meet Fred Fourcher, who took him to Bitcentral.

After two years of commuting from London, Alex moved to California in 2010. Since then he has led sales for Bitcentral, Grass Valley and recently joined Avid.

Over the last decade, Alex has worked with all the networks, the large broadcast groups, and many pro sports teams and D1 schools.

Alex and I spent half an hour discussing the changing business models in broadcast and media and also some very interesting insights into what makes a great Sales Leader.

Lets welcome Alex to the show...
