Following the leak of the Supreme Court draft opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade, there is an ongoing debate over the extent to which protestors should be permitted to organize outside of the homes of public officials. In this sample from the CAFE Insider podcast, Preet Bharara and Joyce Vance break down the First Amendment implications of a federal law that makes it a misdemeanor to protest outside of federal judges’ residences in an effort to influence the outcome of a case.

In the full episode, Preet and Joyce discuss:

– DOJ’s request for January 6th Committee interview transcripts;

– The Committee’s interview with Rudy Giuliani;

– The Committee’s request to interview Georgia Rep. Barry Loudermilk, who allegedly led a tour of the Capitol on January 5th that has raised suspicions about its connection to the attack; and

– The lawsuit filed against a group of Wisconsin Trump supporters who attempted to subvert the results of the 2020 presidential election by coordinating a scheme to give the state's electoral votes to Trump.
