A 3-1 defeat at the hands of League One's table toppers, Wigan Athletic, may have ended Plymouth Argyle's unbeaten run but there were still plenty of reasons to be optimistic.
The loss was Argyle's first in nine league matches and despite the result Derek Adams' men proved they test the best teams in the division.
The news of Ryan Edwards' cancer diagnosis was one of the biggest talking points going into the game, with the club and fans wanting to show that they stood with the defender in his fight.
The groundsman mowed Edwards' shirt number into the pitch and the Argyle players all wore shirts adorned by his name and number.
Graham Carey, who scored the opening goal for the Pilgrims, also had gloves with the number five on them, which he held up to fans while celebrating his penalty success.
Argyle have proved how well they bring people together in times of adversity and there would not have been once person in Home Park on Saturday that wasn't moved by the acts of solidarity.
Edwards was one of the many topics of conversation in this weeks episode of #ArgyleChat, which you can listen to above.
