The Mason Jar Cafe Furry Friend of the Week!
Manage episode 420086201 series 2328504
We do not understand why Cubby is still at the shelter! He's our longest-stay adoptable dog - he's been with us since January 10th. This tall, handsome drink of water is a perfect gentleman! He walks on a leash like a dream, is calm around other dogs, happily self-entertains with a squeaky toy, and would make an absolute best friend to just about anyone. He's only 1-2 years old, weighs about 70 pounds, and is tall and leggy with shiny black fur. We suspect that he is some kind of lab/shepherd mix. He can look a little intimidating in his kennel and occasionally jumps on people when he first gets out - mostly because he is excited to see you! The volunteers all vie to take him out first in the morning. Cubby did well when he met some older kids but is not a fan of cats...or, he might be perhaps too much of a fan of cats! Cubby is neutered, HW negative, up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped. Check out his profile on Petfinder - you can see a video of him with his squeaky toy. And, his adoption fee is sponsored by one of our fabulous volunteers. Come meet Cubby and take him home Saturday morning from 9-12! Cubby is at Berrien County Animal Control, 1400 South Euclid Avenue, Benton Harbor, MI 49022.
- The shelter is full! We are offering a $45 dog adoption special through the end of May and will be open Saturday for adoptions 9-12. Check out Cubby's friends on mi564.petfinder.com or come to the shelter at 1400 S. Euclid Benton Harbor 9-5:30 M-Th, 9-2:30 Friday. Bring any resident pets and make sure they are up-to-date on their rabies vaccine.
- We have a vaccine clinic at Eau Claire Fire Station on June 23rd 10-2. Sign up on our website berriencounty.org/animalcontrol or call the shelter at 269-927-5648.
