It has all the elements of a big-screen blockbuster — a beautiful actress, a handsome leading man, a brooding fifth wheel… and a moment of sickening terror with the most horrific consequences. Using in-depth first-hand accounts from new witnesses, a new podcast series titled “Fatal Voyage: The Mysterious Death Of Natalie Wood” series investigates the night Hollywood’s leading lady went missing during the evening of November 28, 1981. To preview the episode, “All Rise” has a world exclusive interview with Natalie’s sister, Lana.

EPISODE NOTES:

IT’S the unsolved mystery that’s continued to make headlines for over 35 years: What really happened to Natalie Wood?

The death of the dark-eyed Hollywood beauty stunned fans around the globe, and nagging questions remain about how Natalie met her end in a watery grave on Thanksgiving weekend in 1981.

Now, for the first time, the real story behind the film icon’s life and times in Hollywood is being told in “Fatal Voyage: The Mysterious Death of Natalie Wood.”

The fascinating 12-part podcast series will launch on July 20 – the day that the doomed star would have celebrated her 80th birthday.

In a blistering new disclosure in episode one, Natalie’s sister Lana says Robert Wagner — a person of interest in the death — should be arrested for questioning.

When asked if cops should cuff the Hollywood star, she bluntly tells Dylan Howard: “Yes, I do. And they (the cops) would love to. They have been stalled by the District Attorney.”

“I think she was either struck, or pushed into the water and left there,” Lana added.

“I don’t believe that is was planned … but I do know she would not have ended up somewhere where she would never ever completely go in a million years [water]. There is too much that doesn’t add up to who Natalie is.”

’ Although the initial coroner’s verdict was “accidental death by drowning,” the investigation into Natalie’s death was officially reopened in 2011.

The following year the Los Angeles County Chief Medical Examiner amended her death certificate to “drowning and other undetermined factors” after the ship’s captain changed his story.

In February 2018, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department held a press conference to announce they were asking witnesses in the case to come forward.
