Oh brother! Do we have a treat for you today.

Catherine Kelaher is joined by her carnist Dad, Martin Smith for a very special, bonus episode. Despite his carnist ways, Martin agreed to watch vegan doco Peaceable Kingdom and give his opinions. Now credit where credit is due Martin watched the film with an open mind. It was meant to be a short review ep, but as expected the conversation took many turns. Quite a few of those turns led to the question of whether vegan sausages should be allowed to be called sausages. Other classics to look out for include 'fish are there to be caught,' 'cruelty free slaughter,' 'humane farming' and 'we need factory farming to feed everyone.' It turns out there was a lot to talk about.

Join Smith and Daughter as they bond over their mutual loathing of Piers Morgan, catch up on some UK news and end up with a surprising prick of the week.

Plus listen out for a new argument that may not be on your carnist bingo card, 'management tho.'

Okay, so this ep may have you pulling your hair out with frustration, but no doubt you will relate to this convo. Sometimes those we love feel like they are the least likely to change. It can be a challenge to remember the arguments we've heard hundreds of times are often new to the person thinking of them. Hopefully this ep will give you some hope as even Carnist Dad shows some willingness to change and agrees that nothing is okay when it comes to killing.

Thanks to Carnist Dad for being such a good sport. He'll be vegan soon enough.
