On this episode, Lindsay tells her story of growing up, receiving doubt that she would ever do something meaningful with her life. Later as an adult, she overcame these doubts and earned a doctorate in Psychology from C.W. Post, Long Island University. After years of real-life traumas, she turned her knowledge in psychology to authoring a book along with a close friend as co-author, titled Ten Steps To Finding Happy: A Guide To Permanent Satisfaction, which will be published March 20, 2020. She has also started a podcast called The Nuratic Nurishment Podcast, dealing with women's issues that may make us feel uncomfortable in order to shed light on things she wishes she could have dealt with when she was younger.
About Lindsay
Lindsay Weisner is a clinical Psychologist in Long Island, New York. She graduated from Georgetown University in 1999 and was awarded a fellowship in child development at the NIH/NICHD. She received her doctorate from C.W. Post, LIU, and went on to pursue post-doctorate training at the American Institute of Psychoanalysis. Dr. Weisner is the current host of the Neurotic Nourishment Podcast and the co-author of the upcoming book Ten Steps To Finding Happy. This book will be released on March 20, 2020, in accordance with the United Nations International Day of Happiness.
