In episode 39 we talk all about boundaries. We dig into boundaries specifically in regards to Jacqueline’s eating disorder recovery and changing her relationship with food. Setting boundaries is something that is super hard for Jacqueline but also supercritical to not only her recovery but truly being able to live her best life possible. In this episode, we talk about what setting boundaries looks like, examples of how Jacqueline is setting them, especially around food, and how important it is to help educate others on your wants and needs so they can also learn with you and help support you. We share tips from Jacqueline’s therapist, how Jacqueline is incorporating these tips to work for her. We talk about examples of how changing the common words and phrases others may use around food can tend to trigger us. We dive deep into talking about how other people talk about food around you and changing these conversations can be super important when trying to change your relationship with food. Jacqueline is still working on setting boundaries with her loved ones, but wants to share what she is learning, how she is beginning this process, and how setting boundaries is key for moving forward in life and living your best life possible!
