水的性質很特別，簡單來說，沒有水便沒有生命，目前海洋佔據地球表面約百分之七十點八。 海洋學始於1872年，研究得悉最原始的生命是來自大海，化石紀錄了35億年前的海洋原始細菌，靠分解海底化學物質而存活，甚至可以利用海底深溝的二氧化硫和硫化氫而活，及後進化出來的生命才用二氧化碳和水，海洋除了是生命的溫床，亦能調節大氣層的氣體成份，也是調節氣候的主要力量，所以希望能透過”地球708”喚醒大眾 ，認識海洋，珍惜地球你我所有！ 主持:鍾傑良、陳竟明博士 (香港中文大學環境科學課程主任)
