If you are in business – especially if you have an online business – it is almost 100% guaranteed you need a website. In this day and time, a website is the “business card” of just about everyone. I remember back the late 1980’s when I had my own business… I knew I was professional looking because I had a great business card! Amen! I know I’m showing my age – but if you were doing business back then – you were right there with me! Amen! If you were pitching a client or prospective client, almost to the person, they would ask, “Do you have a business card?” You better have one… otherwise, you were considered untrustworthy… Anyway – fast forward 40 years and here we are today! If all you have is a business card, you are running way behind the crowd today… If you are pitching your services to someone, what are they going to ask in today’s business climate? “Do you have a website?” If you say, “No, but here is my business card…” Well, that’s about as far as you are going to get… Let’s talk about websites… There are some places that will give you a free website (and it looks like)… there are some places that will use AI to build you a simple website – but good luck trying to personalize to your clients liking… Then, there is the “do it yourself” crowd out there… and they are really limited in the professionalism and ability to create something spectacular by their own technological limitations. Amen! But, Brother Bob, those pretty websites may look… pretty… but do they draw in the type of clients I am looking for? Will they convert visitors into clients or will they just be, “pretty?” To help us tackle this difficult subject, our guest today is the founder of a revolutionary agency that can, not only help you build a website, but build out the other facets of your business, too! You see, just a good looking website is not enough… you need to have a marketing strategy… you need a customer service strategy and other things… and ALL OF THESE need to work together. What are the “three C’s of design” that you talk about on your website? How do you incorporate all aspects of the marketing message into the website design? I know you have to convert clients to get sales, but you just don’t want a “salesy website.” Right? What are the five most important questions you can ask about EVERY page on your website? Each person, each business, had different goals and objectives. Often, those goals and objectives are not properly aligned. Do you help people identify and clarify their business goals as part of your process? What does “positioning” mean as it relates to our marketing effort and how does “Ugly Mug Marketing” help in that area? Let’s shift gears here for a minute and transition to your book, “Full Circle Marketing.” Why did you write this book and who is your target reader? In your book, you share, what you say, are “Marketing strategies that work every single time they are used.” Can you share those strategies with us? I know you said these strategies work every time they are used… but don’t marketing strategies have to evolve with the times? Back 100 years ago, they had marketing – but it’s not the same as using the internet today… or am I missing something? Does your book support “Ugly Mug Marketing” or is it the other way around?
