In today’s episode, we chat with Mitch Slater, wealth management and investment advisor for a large multinational bank.

Mitch will give us a global view of the kinds of companies, the kinds of leaders of those companies who lead in a conscious way.

A couple of things that have shaped Mitch’s journey as a wealth management and investment advisor have been founded on his experiences in:

1. Working for Larry King, where he learned to be a successful individual, you need to be a good listener coupled with curiosity you can be successful in anything that you do in life.

2. as a board member at a school, he realized that there wasn’t enough financial literacy for children and individuals. He managed to pass a law in New Jersey that stated you can't graduate high school without a one-semester class about basic financial literacy.

  • The current companies and CEOs are now focusing on the big picture as far as companies moving towards environmental and sustainability and good governance goals (ESG) include: treating employees with respect and dignity, focusing on climate change which actually starts at home, having leaders that have EQ and IQ
  • As an individual investor who is conscious about investing with companies that lead consciously, you need to do your due diligence on them.
  • There is a shift from ordinary companies to companies that are now philosophical impact
