In this episode of The WeatherPod, Alan and David invite Michael Staudinger into the studio to discuss how Austria's national meteorological service, ZAMG, interacts with the private sector and examine the tensions that can arise between a public sector met service and private sector providers of weather services.


Michael is the Director of the Central Institute of Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG), which is Austria’s national meteorological & hydrological service. He is also the Permanent Representative of Austria to the World Meteorological Organisation, and President of the WMO Regional Association VI (Europe).
